It goes straight to your friend.

You Your friend
Sealed on your device Your message is locked before it leaves. Only your friend's device holds the key.
Travels the straight line It moves through a private tunnel that runs from your device to theirs.
Held by the people in it The conversation lives on your devices — yours and your friends'.

See who you can reach, right now.

Concord draws you a live map of the people within reach — who is online and how to get to them. It changes as they do.

The people you trust send signed updates continuously, and anything that stops being refreshed drops off on its own. What you are looking at is today's picture, kept true by the people in it.

Device to device.

Direct voice, video & screen share

The devices on a call carry it themselves, over a link they open between each other. For calls large enough that everyone connecting to everyone gets heavy, a relay helps carry the room.

A WireGuard tunnel per peer

Every peer-to-peer connection is wrapped in its own boringtun tunnel, built entirely in userspace — it runs with the same permissions as any app you open.

Matrix underneath

Concord is built on Matrix, so a server you run can federate with the rest of the Matrix network. The people you already talk to stay reachable.

Sees your Reticulum mesh

Add a Reticulum network as a source in the desktop app and watch it live — announces, interfaces, and the shape of the mesh — right beside your conversations.

One you carry. One you host.

Concord comes in two builds. They are built for different jobs, and between them they cover everything you need — the private conversations you have all day, and the shared place your people come to.

The short version: the app is you. The server is the place you meet.

The app

Concord

A peer-to-peer messenger. Your conversations, your contacts, and your map of who is reachable live on your own devices, and your messages and calls travel straight to the people in them.

It is also your way into any Concord Docker server you join, so group rooms sit alongside your private threads in one app.

Desktop and mobile · pay what you want

The server

Concord Docker

A gathering place at a fixed address, running on a machine that stays on. It holds the channels, the voice rooms, and the member list, and anyone you invite walks in through a browser link.

It also keeps the mesh map warm around the clock for everyone pointed at it — the full story is below.

Self-hosted · free

Own the room.

Concord Docker is the free server edition. One command puts a complete Concord at an address you own: text channels, voice rooms people drop in and out of, screen sharing, roles, invites, and moderation — running on your hardware, under your rules.

Anyone you invite opens a link in a browser and they are there — the link is the whole sign-up. The desktop and mobile apps connect to the same place.

It stays online when you close your laptop, and it works the mesh map on everyone's behalf: it tracks who is reachable around the clock, keeps that picture fresh for the people pointed at it, and introduces strangers who trust the same server so they can add each other. That is how a room of regulars turns into a network.

Your address, your hardware, your rules. Yours to own outright.

  • Channels and voice roomstext where it belongs, voice you drop into and leave, screens shared when it helps
  • Roles, invites, moderationdecide who gets in, who can speak, and who helps you run the place
  • Opens in a browsera link is the entire sign-up; installing the app is optional
  • Always in the mesh mapkeeps the picture of who is reachable fresh, and introduces people who have yet to meet
  • Free, and yours to keeprun it on a spare machine or a cheap server; federate outward or keep it to your own people

For a handful of friends

A room that is simply always there. Drop in after work, leave voice running while you play, keep the group chat and the call in the same place. A DND table, a club, a class, a group of five — and as the server introduces friends of friends, the circle widens on its own. A spare machine is all it costs.

For a business

A front door customers reach in a browser: a storefront, a support desk, or a community around what you sell. Shape the channels and roles around how the business actually works, put it on your own domain, and keep the customer relationship in your own hands.

The social network that is not selling you anything — and can help you sell something.

This is the beta. Here is the plan.

  1. Now

    Beta

A working prototype, built fast and priced pay-what-you-want. Everything on this page works today. The code underneath is a first draft, and the next stage is rewriting it properly.

  2. Next

    Rebuild

If this earns enough to fund it, experienced software engineers rewrite the core properly.

  3. Then

    1.0

Ships the day that rewrite is finished, on its own schedule.

Read the code before you trust it.

The whole source is here: how connections are made, how they are encrypted, how people find each other. Read it, build it, or take the Concord Docker server and run it yourself.
